All the work on the house was broken up by a lovely birthday celebration for Leslie. Several Portland friends came over and held a picnic dinner/gab fest in the empty house. Friends/family also made appearances throughout January, helping out with all the jobs needing done. Debbie pulled carpet, Kristin washed walls and yanked out nails while Dave painted -- you name it, our loved ones helped. It takes a village to fix up a house, you know.
