This is the journey through life for the Troutehole family. We are having fun and enjoying the ride.

Marshall clan
Niece Shiori graduated from college this spring (did virtual graduation and "party") and nephew Lucas celebrated a birthday with a golfing outing to Gresham. We joined the Marshall clan for a 20-hole Slug Hole Tourney on a rainy Saturday. It was great to finally see family in person after so long.

Memorial Day weekend we went to the Methow to check our rental property and ready the irrigation for the summer. We met the renter and worked on numerous small repairs she had not bothered to tell the property manager about. The irrigation alone took several days, as there had been several breaks.

On the way home we stopped briefly to see Mom-Nancy and her beau in Wenatchee. Nice visit and overdue time to catch up. So hard with COVID and all.
Summer approaches
May brought a wealth of experiences. Bug ran a half-marathon (by herself) through Portland streets, just to prove she could. She was supported by friends and family and admired by all.
Close to Memorial Day I went to the Beaverton-area cemetery where my ancestors are buried to do a bit of grave cleaning. Moss and algae really do a number on tombstones in Oregon and it took a couple of hours to get them both readable. But now they are shiny and lovely.
The new chicks are nearly grown up now. Abigail, Amelia and Harriet are fast approaching maturity and thrive, despite being picked on by the older chickens. It's a bit like watching a "Mean Girls" film every day, seeing the interactions.
