a little bit of Leavenworth

In January we traveled to Wenatchee. We stayed with Nancy and Brian went skiing with his sister. During the day Nancy and I talked crafting, watched movies and just hung out. And on the way home Brian and I stopped in Leavenworth for one day. It snowed the night before so it was very picturesque.

crazy covid Christmas

COVID really rained on our holidays this year. Didn't go anywhere, had very few people over. Because of my foot, Brian had to get the tree by himself. Local kids and significant others came for Christmas Day -- no meal, no long movie afternoon, no scavenger hunt.
AND because of my foot I didn't decorate the house as usual. I missed that.
Jess and Charlie came to see us after Christmas, as work and a pre-holiday trip to Tennessee messed things up. But had a nice COVID safe visit.

The first cut is NOT the deepest

So early December was deja vu all over again. I had a second neuroma surgery on my foot, as the first was not successful. This time they operated from the bottom of my foot so recovery was much longer/tougher than before. So instead of a big Thanksgiving dinner I made a simple lasagna and Sarah and Trusten came over (COVID kept everyone else away). By my birthday in January I was walking without the walking boot. Weeks of PT followed.
