| Leslie and Bernadine at the Cow Palace, best steak in the Tucson 'metro' area |
In late April we took a four-day trip to the Tucson area. We stayed with B's aunt and spent time with Laura, Leslie's good friend from Idaho. It was around 90 degrees every day. We spent every evening at Aunt B's pool, so we got the most out of our desert getaway.

| Aunt B, Laura's brother and B, touring downtown Tucson |
It was a short trip, with only two full days to be tourist and visit. The airline lost Leslie's luggage, sending it to LA, so our first stop in Tucson was a stop at WalMart to buy a hat, underwear, sunscreen -- the basics. Actually, our first stop was to meet Laura for lunch at a great, and VERY popular, Mexican place for lunch. Day One we spent touring a large desert 'museum' with Laura, full of flora and fauna -- and lots of rocks and sand. Day Two was downtown Tucson for a look around, great lunch in a historic hotel, and a 'tour' of Louie's Tucson home -- which was amazing.
