Visitors come visiting
In March B had a game weekend with his friends and I took an afternoon for a walkabout adventure. I parked by the Burnside Bridge and walked along the waterfront deep into the Pearl area. Then I veered up into the Pearl for a stroll and back to Union Station, which I had never explored.
Bug and Steven came for Spring Break, for a handful of days anyway. They made the rounds with friends and spent an afternoon with us, getting lunch and day drinking with a bowling game. Fun! Then we went to No Vacancy, the nightclub where Sarah works. It was quite the hip club, way beyond us.
Spring has sprung all over
Well, one Chinese New Year adventure and now we're hooked. We are the proud owners of a mah jong set -- the Chinese style, of course. Now we just need to learn to play.
With the arrival of spring and the addition of a garden gate Faith and Charity have now been set free for entire days in the backyard. They love it so much. They bolt for the opening when I let them out and drag their feet when I shoo them back into the coop.
Spring also saw the last of Brian's adventures with his beard. He's now shaved it off, for now at least.
In late March L went down to Hill Street to make up the back bedroom and get it ready for a new ceiling and eventual painting. B went down later to deconstruct the ceiling and outside shed, making them rodent-proof. A few weeks after that Boo and Trusten headed down to prime and paint the awful shiny paneled walls and ceiling. Yay!!
