So this is a year of new cribs, so to speak. Brian has his new job -- and with it a new cubicle to decorate. He had fun making it unique and a reflection of his personality. Family photos and kid-created art (which isn't what most people think but really GOOD art) and odd nerdy tchotchkes.
Kristin has her own apartment this year, her first one to be solely occupied by her and her alone. She's really enjoying it, having her own space.
Sarah and Trusten have a new place as well, although not by choice. Their previous landlord told them to move to open up the place for remodeling and they were so worried because the rental market in Portland is insane. Rents are climbing because owners are either fixing up and charging more rent -- or just charging more rent. By sheer luck they found a flat (upstairs half of a house) close to a trendy part of town and mass transit/ stores etc... It has a small yard and lots of light. They are very happy.
