Between work and house responsibilities sometimes it goes feel like we have much fun but that would be wrong -- we do. Fun things pop up every so often and we make the most of it. We connected with a gaggle of friends to watch a taping of "Wait, wait don't tell me" the NPR show at the old Paramount (now Schnitzer). The evening ended after midnight at a sidewalk cafe downtown. It was a blast.
Now that Jason is not working at the Aquarium, his schedule is more flexible so we get to see him fairly often. B loves it and so do I. B and Jason were there to help our friend Dave's backyard pool.
Our friend and almost-neighbor Debbie has been enjoying her new house and has hosted a couple of al fresco gatherings there.
A movie outing in St. Johns led us to Dub's, our favorite Southern food dive, with friends Brad and Lela.
And then we took advantage of an unusual music performance outside at the Hoyt Arboritum, complete with headphones for audio enhancement and Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini. Oh, and a 'drive by' by a huge number of Zoo Bombers ripping down the dark road.
