Autumn is for apples

Once again, fall and the harvest season brought us back to the Methow, for a cider weekend.
It was great to see all the progress taking place on the farm, the home remodel and and all the other infrastructure.
Lots of exciting things are happening up there, but are probably bringing lots of stress to Jan and Keith, Brian's folks. They are upgrading the old farm in many ways long overdue but it is weird to see all the changes. Regardless, I'm glad I took so many photos of the place in previous years, it's  a nice chronicle to the way it was for Grandma and Grandpa Hole.
The weather was okay, a bit rainy but we made it work and came home with something like a dozen gallons of fresh cider.
Worth every crank of that creaky old press.
