Out and About

Outings aplenty this winter/spring. I hitchhiked up to Mt. Bachelor with Brian this winter. He skied while I joined a snowshoe guided hike -- much more my speed. I was doing it for work but enjoyed it nonetheless!

Then when spring hit (barely) I joined another guided hike at a nature preserve near Sisters. It was very interesting listening to all the work they've been doing, it reminded me of being back at the beach and tuned into work the North Coast Land Conservancy was up to.

And for a couple hours worth of distraction, Brian and I went for a walk along the Deschutes River at Cline Falls, where there used to be a turn-of-the-century (last century) power plant. Nature and history -- does it get any better than that!
