L's bits and pieces

I was invited to read (and discuss my job) to a bunch of primary school students in West Linn. It was a blast, they had so many questions and funny observations.

Our office chili cook-off in the depth of winter. About a dozen of us work in the building and it's a good family atmosphere. This summer we closed the office for an hour and went for ice cream.

Kodiak has found his 'place' in this new house. There are two small windows on the stair landing and he can often be found there, watching the world go by -- and often for us to return home.

I'm participating in another leadership program, this one through the city of Wilsonville (where one of my newspapers was located). We recently toured the state capitol during the peak of the legislative session and we're treated to an impromptu demonstration in the capitol lobby.

My first 'fan letter' from a subscriber.

Winter weekend game-a-thon. Brad and Lela and Dave and Abby came (and Kristin for a short time) and we played for hours. We were supposed to be watching the Superbowl but the game was too captivating.

Sarah, our intrepid bartender. She's working at a whiskey bar now.
